Pioneering Welsh iconoclast and Zen nomad John Cale has one of the most impressive curriculum vitae of 20th century avante garde music -- original member of the Velvet Underground, collaborator with John Cage, LaMonte Young and Terry Riley, producer of Nico, the Stooges and Patti Smith...the list goes on.
